Bronx’s Dufour Pastry Kitchens wins 2011 Gold sofi™ Award

Dufour Pastry Kitchens (Bronx, NY) won the 2011 sofi™ Gold Award for Outstanding Frozen Savory with their Mushroom Truffle Risotto Phyllo Flower, an hors d’oeuvre blending the flavors of mushrooms, white wine, Arborio rice, and black truffle oil. Dufour was also a Silver Finalist in two other categories: the Perishable Foodservice category for their Roasted Garlic/Parmesan/Fennel Cocktail Straw; and the Classic category for their All–Butter Puff Pastry Dough.

"Sofi" stands for "specialty outstanding food innovation" and are a group of awards presented by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT), a non–profit trade association composed of more than 2,900 businesses. Sofi awards "recognize the outstanding foods and beverages of the year that demonstrate top quality, taste, and overall appeal." The awards were presented at the 57th Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C. and represented the 39th year of the sofi awards competition.
