Ib Olsen, Ph.D., Entrepreneur-in-Residence 
Ib is the Co-Founder and principal consultant of his current company, IBD Associates. He is an authority in the field of CleanTech, with a focus on energy storage, advanced battery and fuel cell development, integration of renewable energy, UV-treatment, and gasification. Ib's groundbreaking work in the UV-treatment and battery and fuel cell technology fields has awarded him more than 30 patents. He has spoken at trade conferences and he has authored more than 20 papers and scientific publications. He has both formulated and implemented market strategies for Fortune 500 companies, and also implemented various scale-up and commercialization concepts for the CleanTech products of Fortune 500 companies and various successful start-ups.Ib's prior employment includes Gaia Power Technologies (as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer), eVionyx, Saft America, Inc., and Valence Technology, Inc. Ib holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Odense in Denmark and a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Denmark's Technical University.
Gerry Gorman, Ph.D., Manufacturer-in-Residence
Gerry is a Director of Strategic Planning for Direct Services, Inc., and with more than 30 years experience as a CEO, President, COO, and Director, is a seasoned executive. He has previously worked with companies both small and large, start-up and turnaround, domestic and international, and privately and publically held, including, as President and CEO, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric. Gerry has extensive international experience having lived and worked in Africa, Europe, Pakistan, South Korea, and China. As well as holding certification in Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing, Gerry has been a facility member of New York Polytechnic Graduate School of Engineering and a certified member of the faculty of Phoenix University. He holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Planning from Warren National University, an MBA, also in Strategic Planning, from The Stern School of Business at New York University, an advanced certification in International Strategic Planning from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Pratt Institute.
